just spent 3 nights in a camping pod at fell end site in silverdale.its basicly a fixed wooden tent withoit having to put a tent up or down.
they are empty inside but they have a light, wall heater and 2 electric sockets.
cost -£30 a night.the one i was in was big enough for 2 adults.you still have to bring all your camping stuff.
i think they are going to be the next big thing in the camping world, although i imagine some purists will say it is cheating.

We are going in one at the end of september, step-daughter bought it for my hubby for his birthday so we booked the two nights later in the year when we might need to use electric, that way we can enjoy the tent in the summer (no ehu) and then have a long weekend away later on and hopefully still be warm at night.
I took the kids away in one a couple of years ago. We didn't have electricity in ours, but it still meant we could go early in the season. I'd do it again; warmer than a tent but cheaper than a hotel!
------------- All the best,
Alison

we went in the regular size one , 4 off us - double airbed on floor and 2 singles - it felt reallt claustrophobic and i felt sick so slept with my head hangin out the door, we tried it again and i had a poorly yum again, we will try it agaimn but go in the larger family one . They are a good idea - our smaller one was £28 a night.
