Hi everyone

Me and my wife have fallen in love with north yorkshire and walking on the moors, but have found it hard to find a basic campsite with a pub within a short walk in the dark. After our 15 mile walks we love a drink at the end, but find we have to have a drink then get our feet back in our boots and walk a mile or two back to site. Could anyone suggest a basic campsite with pub on site or with meters? looking forward to hearing from all you fellow campers.

CAMPSITE LOOKS VERY NICE AND THE PUB IS GOOD, LOVELY VILLAGE AND WALKS FROM SITE.

We were at Rosedale Park, Rosedale Abbey a few weeks ago - hot water can be a bit tempremental but it is a lovely site right in the middle of the moors.

The site was busy but it was very quite and peaceful on a night time.  There are 2 pubs one right at the entrance of the park and another a little walk up the bank - don't know anything about these pubs as we did not go but apparently they are both really nice.

Have to agree with previous post although we haven't stayed on the commercial site, we always stay on CC site( unfortunenately no tents). Both the pubs are really nice, great meals at the Coach House Inn which is the pub in the village & the beer is great they often have guest beers too, the pub up the hill is the White Horse Farm Inn, haven't had a meal there for a few years but the view from the outside picnic tables is great. Fish & chip van visits the village Friday evening also. Plenty of walks directly from the village so no need to use the car. We're going tomorrow for a few days, can't wait
