We visited the place last time we stayed at the Warwick racecourse CC site last year. TBH its gone a bit downhill from what it used to be when we sometimes used their CL in the late90s.

Theres no where near as many attractions running, its more like expensive retail outlets, and more geared to school party visits to the farm area which incurs an extra admission fee ontop of the camping charges/CL fees. Theres no EHU available, and the only toilets are those available to the visiting public, no shower block, just a big rallyfield with a tap and waste emptying point down by the gate of the 5pitch CL which was empty, even though it was peak season.

I certainly wouldnt like to be paying those prices to camp there, we were indeed quite dissapointed and wont be returning there again.

They also lock the front gates at around 10pm at night, and after that time its pedestrian access only, or at least it was last year when they had large notices up saying so to any groups using the rally field.

We live nearby and I do agree that it's gone down hill over the last few years. Before we moved to Durham we used to take the kids quite often but since we moved back down here we've only been once, some of the play equipment is great, but other bits such as the duck race and gold panning are a bit tired.

Also, we bought a day ticket and on the way out realised that we could of had an annual pass for not much more. We asked if we could offset the cost and they refused....totally within their rights to do so but it seemed a little off seeing as we would have been back and spent money on the extras I am sure.

The sheep racing is great though ;)
