HI

IM LOOKING TO BOOK CRYSTAL PALACE OR ABBEY WOOD FOR THE GLASGOW OCTOBER WEEK 2011. COULD ANYONE ADVICE WHATS THE BEST SITE AND THE ONE CLOSEST TO CENTRAL LONDON VIA PUBLIC TRANSPORT. ALSO WHATS THE BEST SITE WITH RESTAURANTS AND FAMILY FRIENDLY PUBS TO IT. IM TRAVELLING WITH MY WIFE AND A TWO YEAR OLD. STAYING FOR A WEEK. IM TRAVELLING FROM GLASGOW.

The Crystal Palace site is in walking distance of a bus terminus, with all buses going into Central London. It is also situated at the top of Crystal Palace Park and Sports Arena and within walking distance of the local high street shops. Sorry not sure about Abbeywood but think it is more isolated.

The reviews of Abbeywood campsite seem OK but the area isn't one you'd chose for a relaxing break, it's not one of the nicest parts of London.
