i've been using this great web site for years but this is my first post in the forums!
my partner and i are going camping on sunday 3rd july for a week and we're looking for a camp site in the lake district that won't be too overcrowded in july. we like coniston area, but we don't really mind where it is so long as it's in the heart of the lakes
cheers
john

We used the Derwentwater CCC site a couple of years ago. It is right on the edge of the lake and a 10 minute stroll into Keswick with pubs, shops and a good supermarket. We would definitely return there, good site and fantastic views.
Hello and welcome to UKCS. As previously mentioned the lakes tend to get booked up quite quickly and with it being the holiday season you may struggle. Have a wee play around with the campsite search facility at the top of the home page, tick off your requirements and you should have a great choice of campsites in the area you are looking to stay in. Its then a case of trying to find one with availability. Good luck in your search
