If anyone has been to Garlieston CC could you please give us any info regarding dogs on site. Not much in the reviews about dogs,we fancy visiting the site but we are worried that there is insufficient exercise areas on the site/next to the site.

Walk straight out of the gates and turn towards the harbour and walk, you can make it as long or as short a walk as you want to, once you get past the harbour let your dog loose and walk for miles along the side of the sea. The road outside the site is very very quiet all of the time so there are no problems at all for dog owners, my collie loved it.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
we have booked on New England Bay for a week and thinking of Garlieston for a week, will now go ahead seeing as you think its ok for dogs.
We have a crazy springer spaniel who needs to run like a lunatic and its also handy if there is somewhere on the site for the 1st and last toilet visit of the day
Great to know there is dog friendly pub nearby
Cheers

Fab site, we were there at Easter. Dog loved it. The warden is very particular about dog mess on site, and quite right too. Loads of lovely walks for the dog, you can walk for miles if you want to by the harbour, sea and in the gardens of the near by house (sorry forgot the name!)
