It is a big county, so things can be spread around a bit, but what sort of things do you want to visit? Seaside? Stately homes? Market towns? Gardens?  It has all of these and more, but it would be easier to make suggestions if you gave a clue as to the part of the county you had in mind! I'm a Lincolnshire Yellowbelly myself, and would very much deny that the county was 'rubbish', but without knowing what sort of things you want to visit, I'm a bit stuck for ideas.

thanks & sorry i hope u dont think i said it was ''rubbish'' just what i was told. I have a 11 yr old & a 15 yr old who want a bit more action than in the past... i want a nice beach (who dosent) the option of having a lively night out (not every night) entertainment for both adults & kids. We love zoos but cant imagine any down lincolnshire ? dog walks & football areas... :)

I really don't mean to be rude about lincolnshire. it is a great area but whenever I've been there, everything has been shut. This has been in summer as well as winter. This has happened so many times that we don't tend to go anymore, which is a shame.

If it is beaches and activities you are looking for, somewhere around Skegness would probably suit. I'm afraid I can't be more specific, because it really isn't my scene. There is a seal sanctuary/small zoo in Skegness - Natureland, I think it is called and lots of wildlife conservation areas, such as Gibraltar Point. There are boat trips to see the seals at Donna Nook and other places along the coast.

Your kids might be interested in some of the WW2 airfield stuff around Woodhall Spa and Coningsby, or in the bike racing at Cadwall Park.

But to be honest, it probably is an area more suited to those looking for something a bit more sedate. As Angie says, a week would probably be enough with teenagers.

It depends where you want to go, there is plenty to do and see. We should know as we live in Lincolnshire.

Maybe you should Google Lincolnshire and you will find al-sorts that you can do.

If it helps...you can take dogs in the Beachcomber..aslomng as they lay at your feet or under the table...
There are plenty more sites in Skegness...you might find one on the campsite search that hires statics..

We had a lovely week in Skegness with an 11 year old,7 and 6 year old.Mablethorpe has a lovely outdoor paddling pool with water squirters and a crazy golf that only charges a pound.Good for killing a couple of hours. We also visted Rand Farm park which was lovely but may be a bit young for a 15 yr old.The beaches are beautiful and there is plenty to  do in Skegness but like anywhere like that it'll cost you!!
