Hi everyone, we are looking for somewhere to go in a couple of weeks just for the saturday night. We live in Oldham and we really only want to go about half an hour away. We have a tourer and we want somewhere with a playground. We need it to be local as we can only set off after lunchtime. Can anybody help??? Thanks ever so much, Kathy x

Have a look at the Standedge Caravan and Campsite at the Carriage House Inn above Marsden (i know its on the wrong side of the hill) it is next to the main road but has its own pub and lovely countryside.

Theres a CL at Heywood, with electric and showers called Lane End Farm, 1 min just off M62 and £12.50 per night, and Janet the owner is really nice and will look after you.

Lane End is ok, but doesn't have a playground if that is essential.

hollingworth lake might be suitable theres a new playground been built 5 minutes walk from the site next to the main path that goes round the lake.
