hi i'm looking for a campsite in windermere that accepts group bookings. I have struggled so far so need a helping hand from you experiences up there. Minimun requirements are toilet and showerblocks aswell as being pretty cheap.

There are not any camp sites in Windermere as far as I know, although there are a few 5 or 10 miles away.

try the camping and caravan club site at Staveley. Dont know if they take group bookings but they have really nice toilets and shower blocks and its a big site. We satyed there in May and really enjoyed it.

Only campsite I can remember around Windermere was Park cliff. Very sloping site and very overpriced. We stayed there last summer at £30 per night!!!

How about Low Wray - it's on the opposite shore of Lake Windermere to the towns of Bowness/Windermere but may fit your requirements?
