Hello
I am looking for a site near to the Snowdome, have had a look on here but nothing jumping out!
Any thoughts on campsites/or snowdome much appreciated.

If you are in the Camping & Caravanning Club I can advise you on certificated sites in the area with or without electric hook up as I live in Tamworth if you look at my my profile on the left.
Yes but it depends how how long they want to stay 'Lemmo', how much they want to pay and if all amenities are required or not. Kingsbury Water Park is quite expensive if you only want to visit the Snowdome but has everything you need and the Snowdome is probably about 6 miles away from this site. I know some sites that are nearer but it depends on what the requirements are before I can advise.

I'd use Kingsbury C&CC site or even Conkers C&CC site. Kingsbury is nearer but IMHO Conkers is nicer. Conkers is only one junction up on the M42 (junction 11). To get back to the snowdome, get back on M42, off at junction 10 and onto A5. Get off A5 at Ventura Park/Asda, and you're virtually there.
If you like the smaller site, there is also the Critchley's CS at Warton - it's called Willows Farm. Never stayed there as we only live 5 min. away in Polesworth. Have no idea what it's like, but looks pleasant enough, although a little open - no tiolet block though, although there is a CDP.
I have stayed at 'Willows Farm' and it's nice place to stay and a good location too. I think they charge £11 per night with electric hook up but 'Cliff' near Kingsbury is very basic and cheaper if that's all they need. 'Ashdene Farm' in Drayton Bassett is also a good location and not far away but not so keen on their CL site so much as 'Willows Farm'.

You've obviously done the rounds of the local sites Tango55. We've only done the larger ones. Not over keen on Market Bosworth Water Park. Nice enough location, but the site is a bit public to day trippers to the Water Park, and when you arrive you have to pay to get into the water park before claiming the money back of the site fees, unless they've changed the system. Toilet block not spectacular either.
I've run rallies at 'Ashdene Farm and 'Willows Farm' that's how I know these places well David. I have also visited the CL at Cliff on numerous occasions to look at the field and also enquire about their caravan storage as it's much cheaper than 'Outfall Cottage' but there's no security there at all plus all the caravans are jammed in like sardines in a tin can with overgrown grass etc.

I am not a CC member, does that matter
You may have to be a member, officially, but if I were you I'd ring up and ask them if you could come and not be a member. CL/CS's are all private sites, so may be it depends on the owner??

I know Fort Knox, aka Alkatraz is expensive, but I suspect we are paying for a high level of security, so have no plans to change in the immediate future.
I often pass Bob Critchley's place at Willows Farm. It looks quite open to me, but no loos would discourage me. Mind you, I could always come home - only 5 min. away.
