I am looking for a specific campsite I visited a few years ago. Does anyone know which one it is, from this description: - entry is via the top corner of the land, through some trees - I think you can possibly hear Catterick Garrison army practice as it's peaceful - surrounded by trees, mainly for caravans/tourers but has a tent area - has a small thicket/copse for tents, slightly sloping, to the right of the entrance, with a small stream lined by trees, separating it from caravan area - has a stand pipe next to the stream - small children's play area with fencing in the caravan area - there is a road alongside the tent field but it is a fairly quiet road - traffic is not busy - mobile phone signal is bad or non-existent - there is a river at the other far end of the caravan area and sheep grazing on the other side, people from the site can take a walk along the river
We arrived in North Yorkshire from Sheffield, via the A1 and Scotch Corner. We stayed at Scotch Corner campsite which was very enjoyable but I spotted this campsite on a day out a few years ago, noted the name of it, and then lost it! I would love to go there again but cannot remember the name - your advice would be greatly appreciated!
