can anyone recommend please? Pref with pool but as the beaches seem to be near to all places in cornwall probably not too much of an issue. 2 x kids to entertain aged 4yrs and 7yrs. Thanks!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Hi, Carlyon Bay is a fab site for kids, pirate ship play area, nice pools, laid back entertainment (magician etc), free crazy golf, My son loved it and all the kids regardless of age seemed to be having a great time (even though weather was dreadful when we went last August). Its nearby plenty of attractions Kidsworld indoor playarea , Eden Project , beaches (nearest bit of a building site but lots of others). The pitches are a good size and the bathroom facilities are excellent.
Another site we loved in same area was Tregarton Park , the pool here was the warmest I've ever come across.

To be honest if your after the shool hols, you may struggle.
Cornwall has some fantastic sites so you need to way up other options/needs as well. Such as Do you have a particular area in mind? Do you want dog friendly or dog ban beaches?
Try Globe Vale in Redruth. A lovely children's play area just near the bar, so you can keep an eye and have a drink at the same time. The site is really nice, IMHO. The bar is not a 'club house' as such - it's small, but they do simple but good food at reasonable prices. Toilet block is excellent. Park well landscaped and in an ideal position for visiting anywhere in SW Cornwall. No pool, but nearest beach is Porthtowan about 3 miles away. Tesco supermarket fairly close and camping store (Penrose) about 2 miles away.
If you want further N, then there is St Mabyn. Not been there before but we are having a week this time after our stint at Globe Vale. St Mabyn has an outdoor pool. Worth a look, I think.
Neither of these sites are the cheapest about, but they are nowhere near the most expensive either. They are not noisy/over busy type sites, but good quality.

I have had a look at their website David and the prices are quite reasonable actually. I may consider going next year after your comments.
This will be our third year at Globe Vale in the summer, but our first time at St Mabyn. I've already left two reviews of Globe Vale in the Site section. Also stopping at Forest Glade at Columpton on the way down. Having almost 5 weeks this year - leaving son at home (in his 20's) to house sit. Hope there's a house left when we get back!!!
