Alan
Tell me a bit more of the site as i have just provisionaly booked for the 20/08 for a week stay. Any preferred pitches to ask for (site location etc), beach distances etc., etc. etc.
Taking 2 young children so looking for a good base camp not too far from great beaches & things to do for family etc. Any advice welcome.
Thankyou,
Andy

Hi Andy
The campsite is great, very well maintained and the shower/toilet facilities are the cleanest I have ever seen.
It's family run and everyone is very friendly. The pitches are all good, there are about 10 hard standings and the rest on grass, but all are level and the grass is kept short. There are water points for washing / drinking situated all around the site. The toilets / shop / laundry are in one area, but all camping spots are within easy walking distance.
There is a nice little walk at the bottom of the campsite and within the camp grounds are nature walks with lots of wildlife, fishing lakes and recreation area for football etc. There is also a small play area for the kids.
There is a pub about 1/2 mile away (if that) it only takes about 5 minutes to walk. Also a cafe at the local garden center which do nice food.
Perranporth is about 2miles away, which has a great beach for the family and tourist shops, places to eat etc.... Truro about 10miles (the main shopping center in Cornwall) and Newquay about 5 miles away, which has the Zoo and aquarium for kids, also a brand new cinema. Basically you are pretty central in Cornwall so it makes a good base to explore all of Cornwall
I hope that helps :-) I'm sure you will enjoy it as much a we did.
Also for the DOG OWNERS, I said to the owners our friends would come but they have a dog, They informed me they are really thinking of allowing dogs for NEXT YEAR, so for any dog owners I would highly recommend you call in if your passing by and have a look around for booking next year.
Let me know if you want any more info.
Alan
