We are looking for a site to stay at for 7/10 days from the 8th August in the South Devon or Cornwall area.
Can anybody recommend a relatively quiet site? clean facilities and dog friendly. EHU is a must and a shop close would be great, also a pub within a mile or so would be ideal.
Thanks in advance

We always try to go on sites with good facilites but not rowdy. This summer weare going to three. Only been to Globe Vale, Redruth before - we know it's an excellent site - that's why we're staying for three weeks. This year we're trying Forest Glade Collumpton, Devon on the way down- looks nice with indoor and outdoor pool (doesn't look 'holiday campish') at St Mabyn, between Bodmin and Weybridge on the way back - outdoor pool. Look up the reviews - we're looking forward to them all.
Hey DSB. I live about 10 mins away from Forest Glade. It's definitely not a holiday camp. Site is set in some lovely woodland, plenty of walks and very rural. Nearest pub is The Keeper's Cottage which is situated on the Cullompton to Honiton road, popular with locals and dog friendly.

try little trevarrack at st ives, if you can get on then it ticks all your boxes. Very clean and tidy, superb facilities and even has a small bus that runs from the site and takes you in to st ives and back so you can both have a drink.
Wheal rose close to Redruth, nice little site with small outdoor pool,cycle/walk alongside which takes you to porthtowan beach.Pub walkable.small shop lovely site owners.

Just returned from a two week stay at Ross Park. Fantastic site. Highly recommended and got all the facilities you're wanting. Ah well, back to work for us tomorrow. Never mind, only another five weeks and we're off to Fort William for a week. It's a hard life !!
