Any recommendations? please not more than £12 per night, and only need ehu, levelish ground, good access and be able to obtain a Sky tv signal. Quite like the look of Roche house, has anyone been there?

I can definitely recommend Crowtrees, it's our local haunt! 7 miles from Leek, 7 miles from Ashbourne. Hard standings, own water and waste supply. We get a satellite signal no problem, if you go point it in the direction of the cement works tower (that sounds bad but you can't see it all and the noise is minimal). £10 a night. Wet room and toilet with heated floor, washer/dryer and sink for pots if needed.
There is another Rowley Farm on the other side of Leek towards Endon looks lovely but non ehu.
Just don't email them to book they aren't good at replying! If you have any other questions about the place or area give me a shout. There's a pub called the Yew Tree not far away (if you like a walk) it's packed to the rafters, literally, with antiques. Although it's not the cleanest of pubs (used by locals lots and littered with bits of straw amongst other things), it's dog friendly and really interesting.
Thanks, looks nice. We have just arrived on Anglesey so might stay there on the way back. We have our "borrowed" dog with us as it happens, as his owner can't look after him for the next couple of weeks. And I will phone, am used to sites not replying to emails!

We have just returned from Blackshaw Moor Caravan Club site which is 3 miles north of Leek. Very nice, quiet site close to the Roaches, Tittesworth Reservoir.
