Hi, I am looking at getting some pitch markers which will enable me to pop out if expecting someone in. At present someone is always around.

I have had a quick look, but what sort is best? most visable? I had thought of something like a traffic cone which you could put the name on, or an A board. little plastic stake with sign above and write name on that? must be visable, moveable and last more than once.

On sites I have been to where the owner has not been there full time they just leave a chalk board with the pitch number and your name on it outside the site hut/shop/reception area.

Marking each pitch individually with someones name on it would be time consuming I would have thought.

At CC sites they have a notice board outside reception and when closed sometimes leave an envelope with the persons name on. In envelope are site info sheet and a note telling you where to pitch up.

Have seen this on Black horse farm (kent) where there are often late arrivals from ferries, and also at Warwick at the end of the season when wardens were off site for the afternoon.

It seems to work OK

how are your pitches actually seperated??

If by hedges then a wooden stake in front of the hedge with the number on it??

But I do think numbered slabs that are flush with the grass shouldn't damaged either the mower or any van
