Greetings fellow campers - if you are able to help with this one, I would be very much obliged!
My new partner has not been camping for years, I want to take him away for a weekend camp around about Derbyshire/Cumbria or possibly North Wales way but ideally am looking for a campsite that is quiet so that we can enjoy our own company, but also not worry him about people watching us put the tent up etc - if anyone knows a quiet (ish) /smaller site then please let me know. Thank you :)
oh - PS - preferably one where the tents aren't crammed next to each other ! ;)

Might not be quite where you want to be, but Netherwood near Chester is a nice site. It's adult only and there are about 18 pitches. It's very quiet and it's on the side of the canal so you can go for a gentle stroll and call in at the pub and have a drink whilst watching the boats go buy.
Try Newnes Touring Caravan Park its Adults only, not many pitches with only 2 fields. We camped there for the wedding weekend and had a fab time. No washing up facilities so need to take your own, but has 2 toilets with wash hand basin and showers in a cabin. We took out large tent 540 x 740 and still had loads of room.
Enjoy your camping trip when you go

Come see me, I'd look after you, only problem bit further for you to travel, but I can assure you hubby would be happy. Very quiet, plenty of space, spotless toilets and shower. Large utility room with fridge freezer, its just what you need.
------------- Visit Llandrindod Wells! Great scenery, walks, cycling, red kites. Ideal for exploring Mid Wales.
Have you tried contacting Netherwood? According to the details on this website, the site states that it does not accept tents but I am not sure if this is accurate or if they have changed their policy because we have been 3 times now and each time, there were tents on site.
