I'm looking for anyone's recommendations for campsites with real ale pub on site or nearby, somewhere in the Midlands (Worcs, Warks, Shropshire, Staffs etc). I'm a CAMRA member with a keen appreciation of real ale.
My family and I (two kids aged 2 and 4) have just bought our first tent and enjoyed a couple of good short breaks (most recently to Cotswold Farm Park which was fantastic but was just lacking a pub nearby). We're hoping to go for a long weekend in August and I'd like to incorporate some real ale into the trip. Campsites with nearby pub and a kids play area would be particularly good. I look forward to hearing any suggestions.
Thanks in advance Pete

Callow Top in Ashbourne has its own brewery don't know how good it is, but the site is excellent for children. Also, apparently you can get to this pub across the fields http://www.theokeoverarms.co.uk/ which is a real ale pub
Try lickhill manor stourport nice site by the river the pub by the near by shop is not much to look at but has 3 ales or at the end of town is the Hollybush real ale pub 6 handpulls changing.
And to think I've been going to the Beer & Music Festival at Fenny Bentley nearly every year for the last decade and I never knew about the campsite just up the road with its own brewery. Having looked at their website it looks really nice and perfect for the kids, only problem being that they're fully booked until September so I'll just have to book early for next year instead.
I'll certainly be trying the Stourport site at some point too.
I'd appreciate any other recommendations for sites in the Midlands with kids play area and onsite/nearby pub.

That looks perfect, thanks Belinda. We'll hopefully be checking that out over the next couple of months. I've spent hours going through the search facility on this site and there are still places that I haven't discovered yet!
Thanks for that Don, that looks like another great place. Our kids love animals too.
On their website there is mention of a 'hot shower' but then the last review on this site talks about the 'new ladies shower' - does anybody know whether men have access to a shower too?
I have been to Long Itchington once before for their beer festival weekend so I know how pretty the village is and the pubs aren't bad either!
I really appreciate all these recommendations. Keep 'em coming!
