Lots of pubs within walking distance of Bakewell or Matlock town centres, and if you stick to campsites along the A6 corridor, you will be on a main bus route between the two towns also.
Matlock also has a branch of J D Wetherspoons just over the bridge from Sainsburys, as well as quite a few more pubs up in the touristy Matlock Bath area about a mile away.
