Anyone been to Boyce Caravan Park (Stanford Bishop) in Herefordshire lately? Anyone been fishing at their lakes? If so, can you please help as I need to know if it was hilly to get to the lakes and what was the fishing like? Were they big fish, easy to catch etc etc? Anyone got any decent photos of the site or the fish you caught? THANKS A LOT, new to this so any little helps.

Thanks for the welcome. If I go to Boyce I am happy to post a report about the site. So far I've seen the brochure and website but the fishing is important as the 4 of us all fish, but I'll let you know.

Regards

Sue

Yes we have been to Boyce Park and it's one off the best sites we have been too, my husband fishes and there are three pools, if you go there with maggots you will catch all day. It's not easy access for disabled people though,

Kind regards

Sue 2

Hi

Thanks very much for your reply, very much appreciated. Although you say it's not easy access for disabled, I believe you can drive to the lakes. Also what exactly do you mean not easy access - it's really for someone who can't walk far due to chest condition? Have you any photos of the lakes please? Any help is appreciated. Never done maggots but the husbands will I suppose. Us wives will stick to other methods! Apparently there is a new lodge built there too. Thanks Sue

Hi Sue,

Yes you can drive to pools, the first pool would be the best option for your hubby.

It's a carp pool, if it's sunny use surface baits or sinking trout pellets and meat.

Hope this helps Sue 2

Hi Sue

Thank you so much. Most helpful. Been on some forums re fishing and no one has been helpful so thank you. Hopefully someone on here may have a picture from the caravan site down to the lakes. I have heard the staff are very friendly and helpful and at the minute Boyce is at the top of our list. Kind regards - Sue

I think if you reply to the post, above the reply box is a bar showing scissors B U I etc and on the right 2nd item in, if you hover over it it states 'add image'. I think thats the way. If not I could put my email address on here. Thanks - Sue

Hi Sue,

Ok will send photos when I have your email, although they are of hubby's fish and the lakes behind him, not of the walk/drive down to lakes.
