Hi I am looking for a site around 2 - 2.5 hours drive from the midlands, needs to have a clu/pub on site or nearby. Geared up for young kids. Tent with EHU pitch required. I would really like to be close to a beach but this is not essential.
The bad news is i want a site for Bank Holiday weekend. I have searched on the search facility but struggle with knowing what areas to look for so find it takes an age - i really would value any recomendations.
I have emailed lots of places already all of which are full

Jubilee weekend - glan y mor
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Welsh coast might be worth a try. Snowdonia area, you have Barmouth and Harlech and further south anywhere from Aberystwyth to Newquay. North Wales you have Colwyn Bay area. There are sites in those areas that will fit your needs. Getting in at such short notice is a different matter.
Hi, Try Aberystwyth Holiday Village, not my favourite site as we don't have children we prefer the quieter sites but as we are going with family including three teenagers this site is ideal - club house, indoor pool etc, can walk to sea front in a few minutes. After trying a number of oher sites we booked four tents with electric for Bank Holiday weekend just last week so you may still get in, Good Luck.

Glad you got booked, will have a look at Glam y Mor for future as family like the area, have seen bad reviews for site we booked - it is a shame as it is a lovely site, great for kids but as usual it depends on who turns up, we had a good time May Bank Holiday but first night had to endure some noise from two tents of drunk 40 year olds who should now better! Can't fault the site itself though, enjoy your break x
Well mrs o it looks like we could be neighbors! Tried to book glan y mor today and wasn't any pitches left :-( decided to risk it and book at holiday village ;-)
Great - Glad to know we will have decent company, your kids will love it there, as I said, the site is fine, short stroll into Aberystwith and nice drive out to Newquay. It's the people who can be the problem but hopefully we will be lucky, even the rowdies we had on first night last time didn't go on until too late. We are arriving Friday evening and will be in 4 Outwell tents (don't worry - only 3 well behaved teenagers with my 2 Brothers and partners plus Mum and Dad - very well behaved pesioners lol) so say Hi if you spot us with Green Passatt, here's to a fab weekend and fingers crossed for the weather x
