I doubt you'll get a reduction for not being there for the 6 weeks as it's still technically "your" spot whether you're using it or not.
We looked for a seasonal in staffs/shrops & they ranged from £800-2k, funnily enough the £800 was by far the nicest and open 12 months of the year but had no spaces & a long waiting list, we've now done what we consider 2nd best & store it on a C&CC site, it costs £200 from Easter-end october then you pay per night you use it which for us is £12, it works out loads cheaper.
Yes we have to pull it onto the pitch but that literally takes 5 minutes & obviously cant leave an awning up (many seasonals wont let you either) but it's really nice being able to choose a different spot each time & if your neighbours aren't very good then we only have to put up with them for a weekend and not a whole season.
