Special Trains running for campers and exhibitors on the non public saturday afternoon
This will be the second and last opening in 2011 of the private miniature railway and a chance to spend a weekend in the scenic parkland Camping from friday or saturday with the event running sunday and Monday BH weekend. Pitches only £20 incl admission both days to the event
The camping and caravan field is set in rolling parkland with open countryside views, well behaved dogs quiet generators and BBqs welcome but please note there are no electric hook ups or shower blocks but, there will be Elson point and serviced portaloos however as well as an evening local real ale bar serving Rutlands CAMRA award Grainstore beers with entertainment on the sunday night and hot and cold catering. Punch and judy show and evening family entertainment
Vintage caravan club attnending with a large number of mebers and their classic caravans and cars
Camping available from Saturday (or frid night) depart Mon evening or tues am.
Stapleford is famous for its historic steam miniature railway which will be running 5 locos in steam around nearly 2 miles of line and will also feature a steam rally with miniature engines,vintage vehicles and tractors, trade and craft stalls
, As well as its idylic location, its is situated near the ancient county of Rutland and its 20 miles of cycleways around the reservoir and only 4 miles from the food capital of Melton Mowbray, which can both be explored on the saturday post code is LE14 2SF
