I'm thinking of going Halloween camping this year at Sherwood Forest. I've found reviews of the site on here but none for the Halloween weekend so just wondering if anyone has given it a go? Do they do any activities? I bought a convector heater yesterday in readiness but half of me thinks I must be mad braving the cold in a polyester tent lol!!!

Hurray, yes they've managed to squeeze us in to Pilgrims Way. Its a bit further than I wanted to go and DH will probably kill me!! They're doing a fancy dress party, bonfire and fireworks, sounds ace. Even better, you get dinner included so no cooking, didn't fancy that in the cold! Give em a ring the bloke was really lovely and accommodating.

Thanks for that.  Unfortunately we can't set off until late on Fridays so it's a little too far to travel.  Hope you have a good time.

I think Humble Bee Farm near Filey has some sort of Halloween event. The site is very popular so it may be fully booked already.
