Has anyone got any ideas about where we could camp this weekend, although there are several places showing on the late availability page, not one has any space (now sure how up to date this page is?).

Is anyone thinking of cancelling their booking for this weekend or know of anywhere that has spaces for tents? Will consider anywhere generally "up North" - Derbyshire, Yorkshire, coasts etc. A bit desperate as you can probably tell! Thanks

we are less than 1 hr East of the M1 J24 or 35 mins south of Nottingham or 20 mins West from the A1 at South Witham Rutland

No showers or EHU though but loads of space to spread out. Trains running on the Saturday for the campers when publics not on the field with family entertainment in the evenings

Just turn up friday or saturday and we  will fit you in

We booked last week online without probs for a standard pitch, not the cheapest but its a break though isnt it!

Hi everyone and thank you for your replies. Can't really risk just turning up with kids aged 1, 2, 3 and 4, and thank you for your offer Nige, it's just a little far for our first camping foray.

I checked the late availabilty page again this morning (having phoned around 40 places yesterday...) and spotted one I'd not seen there before. Studfold campsite in Nidderdale. It has some of the best reviews I've seen on here and lots for the kids so we're all thrilled to bits!

Now just hoping for sunshine and a successful weekend!
