Hi everyone, we are camping newbies, as in we have never camped before, and we were wondering if anyone can recommened somewhere to camp in suffolk, just for a couple of nights, this will be our first camping adventure and can't wait, so we would like to go somewhere with a few facilities, we live nesr Beccles in suffolk, anywhere that's not to far to start with, would be great.
Thanks.
Polly-anna.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We are near Diss and regularly go to Manor Farm in Cromer, Kelling Heath and Dower House which is between Diss and Thetford. Have also been to Cakes and Ale and Carlton Park both near Saxmundham.
I'd reccommend any of these, hope you have fun.
When you say a few facilities do you mean loos and showers or bars and entertainment? If it's the former I can recommend The Orchard - it's a very relaxed site and you can have fires. It's a couple of years now since we were there so check the reviews, but we loved it,
Mairi
------------- April/May - Georgia destroyed in high winds sob
May - Loch Ken, 1st outing for the wolf lake
July - Waterside House, Lake District
July - Inside Park, Dorset
We went to Carlton Park at the beginning of the month, for our first ever camping trip and loved it! It was nice and quiet, with showers/loos/washing up all in one place. Basic but clean, no clubhouse or entertainment. Just outside of Saxmundham, you can walk to Waitrose but feels like you are in the heart of the countryside. Lovely big pitches and a lovely atmosphere, we will be going back again next year! Check out the reviews Let us know where you decide to go x
