I'm struggling to find a suitable site in the North East of England to accomodate a group of about 10 to 15 people, in about 6 to 10 small tents for a weekend in September. We are looking for a small site - not fussy about facilities - where we can have a bbq and sit and chat until late at night without disturbing anyone.
If anyone knows of such a place, I'd be grateful if you'd let me know.
Thanks,
Chris

we just spent 2 nights there , lovely site but basic - only loos , but clean
The lady said she just took a booking for 20 odd and she would put them in the seperate field away from other tents and vans , incase they noisy . They even put porta loos in the filed for them
Brockwell Woods near Newcastle is fab, set in woodlands (obviously!) and welcome young, large groups as everyone is in their own clearing so can't disturb anyone. Campfires allowed and the guy looking after things (not the owner) told us that people like to have a beer and make a bit of noise! There is only 1 clearing that would be big enough for your group so I would give them a call if you fancy it. There are no facilities tho, completely back to nature, and they give you a saw to cut up dead wood for your fire and a spade to dig your toilet! We love the place!
