Can anyone recommend a campsite to entertain our bored teenage twins? Ideally with a pool and water slides/chutes, paintball, climbing wall, zip-wires etc would be great. Being able to walk into a town or village would nice, as they hate day trips in the car!

well know what you mean there! We went to Sandy Balls albeit for the 5th time and despite all the activites that is on site there pool, entertainment etc or that you can book the number of teenager that seemed to be walking around(well say walking but most appeared to have mobile in hand!)looking bored seemd frightening. I tried to get ours (girls aged 12 n 14) to engage in conversation with others of same age but was like drawn hens teeth. So form my experiance you might be looking for the impossible(think its that age thing tho) but will be interested in what others suggest. If not, despite all this SB looks good again for next year!
my teenage son might not agree but I reckon that in just our first few months I have noticed with him something which might be of interest.
when around teenagers ie in the games room of the site we stayed at / generally on site he seems to be embarrased to just be a kid. he plays on his phone, looks bored and is generally a pain in the arse.
however at 2 sites where there have been no other teenagers close by,no games room etc he has been happy, well looked happy anyway to play ball with his younger brother, play on rope swings, cook the bbq etc.
I think the less there is organised for him to do the better he is. as long as there is some water to mess around in and a bbq to cook he seems happier . maybe its because when he isnt around other teenagers he doesnt have to worry about being cool and can relax and have fun.

My now 21, 18 and 16 year old sons have never complained of being bored. They've never been to an all singing all dancing site and occupied themselves. They have made friends and been quite happy. It has actually got easier as they have got older as we haven't had to entertain them all day!
In the last couple of years we've been to France still to smaller sites and they have been quite happy enjoying the simple things of life!
i agree my eldest is 13 and we dont do the big sites, he likes fishing so we try at least 2 weekends where he can do that. he often walks the dog around the area with us which he wouldnt do at home, also seems very good at helping keep younger ones entetained whilst enjoying being a "child" without realizing it!!
Don't kids nowadays know about the pleasures of just walking? Plenty of sites up and down the country that you can walk from all day. Soon wear them out up and down a Fell or two. It may be something so different that they just take to it.
