we have recently moved from canvas to caravan and have tried 6 sites so far but am struggling to find a site as nice as Hollins Farm in Silverdale but that is too far to tow for a weekend.
I'd like recomendations of any around harrogate, york, skipton that have good climbing frames for 3 year olds, or access to decent sized pools, if there was a pub near by for an afternoon lager, perfect.

What about Humble Bee near Filey or Cote Ghyll in Osmotherley. Neither have pools but great parks for kids. Cote Ghyll is a 5min walk into the village where there are two lovely pubs serving food and lovely real ales

Have a look at woodhouse farm near ripon. We visited it in June and plan to go next year. It has 3 good playareas and a nice bar / restaurant on site with lots of things going on for kids at bank holidays / halloween etc. We were quite impressed plus it seems reasonable in price.
thanks for all the recommendations, going to try Goosewood park as it is all year site and then try Jasmine park and Cote Ghyll next year when they reopen. very excited.
Kate - Woodhouse farm is indeed a nice site, we went there in June, my little boy loved the play areas.
I think I am just spoilt with Holgates Hollins farm though with the animals to feed, play areas and a pool.

you wont go far wrong with vale of pickering it's been our favourite site for some time tents and now caravan, we also like humble bee farm it's great for kids although there is a big hill up towards it looks very steep when towing but people do it.

Golden Square is child friendly, but go outside of school hols when there won't be many children around!
We found far too many feral kids at Easter this year - using play equipment, shouting, screaming and drinking in the play area after midnight isn't on.
