looking for a peaceful weeks break end of september.....grandma having the kiddies so just the 2 of us....wish list is a site in the lake district, beautiful scenery, on site fishing, perhaps the pitch will be next to the water....... i would appreciate clean showers etc.....maybe somewhere for a romantic meal within easy driving distance

i know asking a lot,,,,,,can anybody help????

Waterside House - we had planned to go earlier in the summer but had to cancel, definitely going next year though, on the lake, walking distance to a town, sounds like it could fit the bill?

We stayed at Church Stile last month. It is in a very remote part of the lakes in a place called Nether Wasdale. The Wast Water is about a mile down the road which is simply stunning. I dont think you can fish in it though. On the site we noticed pitches which were located in the quiet part of the site. There are also two brilliant country pubs a five minute walk away serving fantastic lunches and evening meals. We ate in both of them and were impressed. We did say it would be a great place to come back to for a weekend minus the kids. Its just so peaceful and relaxing

We're off to Keswick C & CC site this week, it's right next to the Lake at Keswick and you can walk into town from the site.
