Site has onsite stables for horse riding. Campsite in very pretty location in wooded valley next to river. You can ride up onto Exmoor. Little tea room doing cream teas within walking distance.
Within easy reach of some lovely places, Porlock, Dunster (with it's Castle), Watchet (fishing town with harbour) & the busier Minehead for amenites.
Horam manor in east sussex is a lovely smallish site. It has stables on site where you can book lessons, go for hacks or have a pony day where you help muck out, clean and feed the horses then go riding. They cater for all ages and abilities. My daughter is also horsey mad, but only gets to go riding on holidays. We have stayed here twice. (the last time being June this year) There is also fishing and beautiful woodland walks. The pitches are large with an electric and non-electric field. Toilet and showers are clean and work well. There is a small play area on site, but the kids just seem to make friends and play games wherever, nice friendly and informal. there is no shop on site, but Horam village is 5 mins walk with PO, vets, shops and chippie, chinese will deliver on site!. Not far from Drusillas wildlife park. Well worth checking out as we and our dogs have always enjoyed staying here.

Hi, we recently stayed at Shrublands Farm, nr. Cromer in Norfolk. Near our campsite on the way to Cromer there was a sign for horseriding. We went to enquire about a trek but at £25 each for 4 of us, it was too dear. HTH.
