Hi there

We will be travelling from Scotland to Gt Yarmouth with our tourer.

We wondered if anyone knows of any campsites on the A17 heading to Gt Yarmouth where we can take a one night stay on our way?

There are two sites at Newark-on-Trent. This is where you will leave the A1 to join the A17

Milestones Caravan Club Site just a few miles north in the village of Cromwell

Smeaton lakes just outside of Newark

Both a just off the A1 so are ideally suited.

There is also a caravan club CL..but its adults only..

Hawton Waters..its where we store our caravan..lovely place..£8 per night for 2 adults..no electric..
£12 per night with electric..

The Beeches on the B6403 just off the A17 at Cranwell, not far from the airfield - on here in campsite search

the past 2 years we've stayed at the rose and crown just off the A17 near spalding, it's only about a mile off the A17 and i think it was £15 for the nite with EHU, we only had just over an hour and a half to great yarmouth in the morning

It says on your posting that you have been to Vauxhall Holiday Park. That's were we are going. What did you think of the park, is it as good as it looks?

we love vauxhall, OH was moaning at me lst week to get it booked for next year lol We've got 2 teenagers and an 8 and a 6 year old so it is great for us with the swimming pools and entertainment, there's an asda a 2 min drive away and plenty of shops, we go the first week of glasgow fair and it's not too busy as the english schools haven't stopped yet, toilet blocks are cleaned regularly during the day and the swimmimg pools are spotless, just a shame it's so far away or i'd be there more often, hope you enjoy it, when are you going??
