Hi. we are coming over to the UK in October and wondering if anyone can recommend a good site around the Poole area. Nothing fancy as long as it's quite at night and has Electric

If you enjoy boats or even a spot of boat/canoe hire and riversidewalks into the main bustling town, try Redcliffe Farm, Ridge, Wareham,(near/next to Poole,) in Dorset.
Along the riverside walk is 2 balconied Pub overlooking the river, and also a Boating Clubsite (which might be open to the Campers?), right next to the Campsite.
Ask for the EHU pitches in the further over field, We had a great (quiet) interesting weekend at this busy, (in high season at the time) boating site.
There are a number of good sites in the Wareham/Isle of Purbeck area - have a look at Norden Farm, Woodyhyde and Tom's Field for example, and if you're C&CC members there's a new CS (as yet unlisted on here as far as I know) practically in the centre of Wareham, another well-established one at Church Knowle and another recent addition a little further along the same road, as well as Corfe Castle Club Site.

Birchwood Tourist Park near Wareham, Dorset, not far from Poole, and it is my favourite campsite, and have already provisionally booked for a week in June 2012!
Very helpful staff, and it is a very peaceful site away from the traffic.

I went to Lychett Manor some years ago and it was a nice site within easy driving distance of Poole, but not a lot to do in the immediate area apart from a local pub.
I have now added Redcliffe Farm to my virtual brochure thanks to Coast Walkers...I hadn't seen that one before and it looks just up my street
Have noticed in your gallery you have a tent, good news as at the Redcliffe Farm, they had a lovely calm sheltered area for tents, (could be couples/singles only,) quite near the new toilet/shower/washing up block, but slightly higher up. Fancied camping there ourselves.
