Do you have one campsite you return to time and again?

What is it and why?

Looking at our 2012 bookings and need some inspiration :)

We have 3 that we love

Lincoln Farm in the Cotswolds and Wilksworth Farm in Dorset and further afield L'Amfora in Spain

If I lived closer it would be Nantcol - but I see you have that on your list already .  I love Breck Farm at Weybourne in Norfolk and Manor Caravan park at Happisburgh in Norfolk, both basic sites within an hours drive of home and both liked for different reasons.

You're organised thinking about 2012 already, we dont normally decide we want to go until its the day before we go!  Probably why we end up camping locally!

We have two - Plassey in Wrexham, high quality site with plenty of good quality facilities to keep parents and children happy.  Also pretty close to home but still feels like we are miles away.  Only wish we could visit more often!

Dolbryn, Carmarthenshire, Lovely friendly site, excellent play area for the children and very reasonably priced.  Lots to do in the area.

 My favourite is Holmes Valley camp site ay Holmfirth, it's small friendly, ideal for families to relax, it's like getting back to how camping should be without all the commercial razz-ma-tazz, quiet, lovely walks, river runs all around it, lovely pubs and restaurants nearby and not forgetting the very famous town of Holmfirth were Last of the Summer Wine was filmed.  If  you ever go you must take the village tour bus and see all the famous filming spots. Hope you have alovely time at Riverside next week.

Most of mine our down South so a long way from you, however if you're down this way:

Old Oaks, Glastonbury (Adults only, spotless loos, quiet rural site, homemade cakes!)

Thorney Lakes, Somerset (very rural, basic "farm" site, relaxing)

From our "up North" recent tour:

Hillside, Thirsk  (5 star park, every pitch a super pitch, views of the moors)

Just back yesterday from our 3rd time at 'The Strangers Inn' Bradfield near Harwich...Why? because it's only an hour from home and the pub often has entertainment, a short stroll brings you to the waters edge.

'Basingstoke canal centre' has also been on our list at least 3 times, Why? because we use it as an overnight stop for any journeys down to Dorset/west country, it's so easy to get off the M3 and find the site, also very cheap.
