Depends on the time of the day - the sound of the kettle for the first cupps, the wispered good morning as you pass your fellow campers on the way to the loo block. The sounds of kids as the site wakes up.
The smell of bacon as your neighbours cook their breakfast which makes you feel hungry so that you cook your own.
The listening to the noise die down as the site settles down for the night - the way the site will be buzzing one minute, and then suddenly the noise will change as families take their kids to the loo block before they go to bed.
If it is raining, sitting or lying there listening to it - provied that it doesn't last the whole holiday
The sound of the sheep/cows in the next field. Sitting outside first thing of a mornind with my cuppa, and hearing the cows being taken in for milking, somewhere in the distance.
We've probably all been there where we have had neighbours who are objectionable, with loud music - but odds are that for the majority of us, the times when we have been an only had nice neighbours, and enjoyed the pleasant side of camping will outweigh the bad times.
