Haven`t stopped there, but have been in to have a look whilst stopping at Trewetthett Farm down the road.
Looked to be underneath a pylon, next to a road with very little in the immediate vicinity without resorting to using a car.
Even in peak season it wasn`t full, and TBH we wouldn`t stay there as it just wasn`t what we would look for in a site. If you are going to that specific area for another purpose then fair enough, if you are looking to go to Cornwall there are many, many nicer sites.
The road to Trewetthett is OK, you have to be a bit alert if you meet another van in certain places, but its nothing to be concerned about.
You will be fine if you follow the route in the CC handbook, as you don`t actually go into Boscastle. I thought I remembered the way without checking a few years ago and approached Boscastle from the north, having to tow through the town and up the hill - NOT RECOMMENDED! If I had met a coach or anything large there would have been choas as the road is narrow with high hedges.
Follow the CC directions and you we be fine. Have a good time.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
The in-laws returned from Trewethett a week ago. Bear in mind it gets very very windy on site (exposed) and nobody had awnings up whilst they were there. Also broke our MH door as the wind was so strong (flew back as MIL was opening door).
It has stunning views but the wind puts us off going.
