I retired last year and bought a second hand twin axel Bessacarr. I do not enjoy towing it but we do love the caravan so we would like to find a site to pitch for the season or possibly the full 12 months. We are looking for a basic site, not interested in fancy sites with swimming pools restaurants or club houses etc, just as long as there are hot showers, toilets and ehu. We would prefer Scotland or north of England beside either loch/lake or sea. If anyone can suggest such a site We would be eternally greatfull. Sandi

Hi, I may be a little dim, probably am, but I can't find the search facility you mentioned. We also in the next couple of years would like to find a seasonal pitch when my OH doesn't want to tow our twin axle any longer. Can you help me find the facility?

Give Andrew and Louise a call at Highfield Farm, Tunstall, Nr Catterick a call. A beautiful site with the cleanest loos/showers I've evrer seen. There is a tennis court, fishing pond and a tiny play area for the few children that come. We've only been there for one season and love the tranquillity. The near by village has a pub but no shop so it is a 2.5 mile drive into Catterick for groceries, newspapers etc but for the peace & quiet of the site it's worth it.

I don't know if there are any vacancies but if not you could always put your name  on the waiting list.

You have the same van as us, we purchased it earlier this year & my husband does not like towing it, we are looking for a seasonal pitch for it too as we love the caravan, hope you get sorted.
