Just tried to book Ferry Meadows for October half term 2012, and the CC website says the site is closed for a day on 31st Oct.   Any ideas why?  It seems very odd to be closed for a single day.  Is it connected to that day being Halloween, I wonder?

As far as I am aware Ferry Meadows is open all year, and with the 31st being a wednesday you're right, it does seem odd.  Perhaps the website is in meltdown!  Haven't tried to book anything yet, after previous years I thought I would wait until thing had quietened down a bit!  Good luck with your bookings!

Give the site a direct call - they will be able to tell you why they are closing (if) - it does seem rather wierd!

Might they be holding a Warden Conference on that day? Unless something is going on in Nene Country Park that day which prevent access to the campsite. Other answers on a postcard!
