We looking for a site with easy access to The Eden Project for june/july 2012.
Large tent 2 adults 3kids aged 6, 9,12 and dog. Preferably near a lake or a beach.
Also any good stop over from holyhead.

Any recommendations ??.

Hi Chale
We stayed at Carlyon Bay which is on the outskirts of St Austell and about. 10 mins drive from the Eden project.
We thought it was am excellent site, loads of room on the pitches and all facilities were extremely clean.
There is a beach which is walkable from the site. Also plenty to do in the surrounding area.
The last time we crossed into Holyhead we stayed overnight in Conwy which may not be far enough for you.

Tregarton park 5 mins from beaches and close to Eden. A great site.

Hi Chale,

Just a comment on the post by NeeNaw re Carlyon Bay. This site accepts Campingcheques until the middle of July which means you gat a pitch with electrics for £13,95 per night which is considerably cheaper than their normal tariff. Its also a 5 star site and gets very good reviews on the Campingcheque website and on here as well. Hope this helps.

When we visited the Eden project we stayed here - short drive away.

We stayed at Croft Farm at Luxulyan a few years ago. Walking distance to Eden, good location, clean site, mostly vans though.

Another vote here for Carlyon Bay, we stayed in August with boys of 7, 11 & 13. Everything about it was 5-star & it's a great base for so many lovely beaches.

We went to Eden Project when we stayed at River Valley Site in St Austell. It was a fabulous site - small but flat pitches of generous size. Covered heated pool. Immaculately clean. Pretty sure I would've left a review on here for it at the time.

Ditto!!! Regarding River Valley - lovely site ideally situated for both coast and inland. Indoor pool, immaculate facilities & family owned
