If its sea fishing you are looking for then there are plenty of trips that go out from Whitby, Scarbrough and Bridlington that also include the hire of rods and tackle, and most also provide bait, but best to check first. They are not exactly cheap to go on, with some charging as much as £70pp for a 6hr trip, which goes suprisingly quickly once you are out there.
I took my grandson and his mate out on Ocean Cruisader from Bridlington harbour a couple of years ago for his 14th birthday, and the cost was £25pp for 4 hrs, but i suppose that prices may have increased since then along with fuel and insurance costs. the skipper was first class though,he baited up our hooks, changed our traces when needed, and identified the spieces we caught straight away, even if it was something a bit unusual like my Rainbow Wrass I caught on my first bite!
We came home with a dozen or so Mackrell and a couple of medium sized cod, but also through quite a few catches back for either being unedible or undersized for landing.
