ooh cant you put it nicely ??? I know every one looks for something different...as I gather it the site is basic one toilet/shower/basin for ladies and men ..if it is clean fine ..we are not looking for clubs/pools etc ...can i put my e mail address on here ?

Lets just say our 3 week stay turned into a 20 minute stop and a very quick turn around!!

We 'do' CLs and small private sites so dont look for posh loos etc, clean basics will do, so we were not expecting 5* facilities, prefer quietness. Never even got to look in the loos.

We were in a tourer not a tent but it wouldn't have been any different. It did look perfect,

We left as we dont like being pitched within arms length of other peoples 'vans / awnings etc, I mean literally!!  That combined with the dogs / closeness to the road and general feeling we got, meant we left quickly.This left us drivinig around looking for somewhere else to stay during August after a very long drive so it wasn't a choice we made lightly!!

I must state though that the owner was excellent and gave us our deposit back.

I think it would be very windy as it is very open, not particular nice views.

Thank you herald...Its hard trying to find somewhere like you we also prefer somewhere clean and quiet and I thank you for telling me.... we havent camped for a good many years and we had a caravan but 6 years ago had to sell it... we are returning to camping in our mid 50,s with son and daughter in law and 2 young grandchildren in tow ..plus our faithfull hound..we also thought we had found somewhere previous in the same area..Kelpie ..a certified site but became unsure when we got told the toilets where on the back of a trailer...but look at the reveiws !! Where did you end up staying in the end ?

Freshwater East a CC site which was fab despite being a big site. It is a lovely area, well worth finding somewhere to stay.
