I planned to have at least a 4-nighter over the Easter weekend well in advance, and booked my annual leave from work accordingly.
I shall go to the site straight after I finish work on Thu, and have taken Tue off.
The site I am going to is within 1.5h from work, and I do not mind having to pitch the tent up in the evening at dusk, as I shall have EHU and good light to help me.
Easter is normally the start of the camping season and coincide with school holidays, and a lot of sites have a minimum stay requirement to make the most of it, which is understandable IMHO.
If I have the choice, I would avoid Easter and other BHs, however, I now have less annual leave than I used to, cut from 30d to only 21d. In order to camp as often as I can, I would need to camp over BHs, hey ho!

A lot of sites have a minimum stay over bank holiday, but i have normally found it to be 3 nights. Where abouts did you want to go? and what sort of site?

We'd be pleased to have you, we don't have a minimum stay at any time during the year and you can arrive and leave any day of the week all year

Many sites seem to require 3 or 4 nights for a BH stay and one site I looked at wanted 5 nights as a minimum!!
A BH only gives you 1 extra day off so not quite sure how they can justify a 4 or 5 night minimum requirement?!
