Dennis Cove Camping - this is a lovely clean but basic site with the major advantage that it's an easy 10 minute walk right into the center of town (as birdman says parking is a nightmare in Padstow - stay here and you don't need to worry about it). There is also another site right next door down by the estuary shore, but haven't stayed there and seem to think it only takes tents... I think it's called Dennis Farm.
I think all the other sites in/ around Padstow are a bit of a trek from the town.
In my opinion Rick Stein's fish and Chip shop is well worth a visit, you may have to queue and yes it is more expensive than some of the others in town, but the quality is top drawer - really lovely fish n chips, some of the best I've ever had (and that is saying something).
We love Padstow and go a lot, although never been to the May Day celebrations. Enjoy!
