I have been looking to book an Adult only site for us and our friends in August. I was going to book Woodland Springs on Dartmoor but I was a bit put off by the deposit of 3 days fees (£63) as it's a lot of money to lose if you have to cancel.

I have also noticed that a lot of the adult only sites don't take tents

I like the look of some of the ones mentioned here though - I will have to rethink the area we want to go and have another look

Has to be Rosebush caravan site near Narberth, Pembrokeshire.

Lovely and peacefull with unusual pubs and nice walks.

Large lake on site which is why its Adults only.

Presses all the right buttons for us!

York Caravan park takes both tents and caravans. Just 3 miles from York with excellent bus service just over the road.
All pitches have EHU and the toilet/shower facilities are brand new and the best I've ever used. They have individual rooms with toilet, sink, shower and hairdryer.
We only stayed the one night in our tent, got the bus into York had a great afternoon shopping then a few drinks in the evening. Got a taxi back for £7 but the buses are running til late I think.
We are def going back next time we're child free
