Campsites and Caravan Parks in the UK

Please help. Can anyone recommend any campsites that are family orientated but close enought to local attractions for our teenage children. I'm not looking for campsites specifically for teenagers but wondered whether anyone had any recommendations for areas to go where there might be a bit more activity for teenagers. Thanks in anticipation.

* Pickering Traction Engine Rally(early August)

* Goathland (Heartbeat Country)
* Castle Howard

Should be enough to keep you all busy for a week or two!!

You missed Elvington Air Museum out ! Far better than Eden Camp ; we did both in a day and can't wait to go back to Elvington .

Both dog friendly btw !

Kingsbury Water Park...close to Drayton Manor theme park and Tamworth Snow Dome?

Chertsey CCC Site easy access to Chessington, LegoLand or Thorpe Park as well as Windsor Castle and Hampton Court. Our teenagers loved our week there (they were 17 and 15 at the time).

I am really struggling to find acampsite for my 14 & 15 yr (special needs) olds!

We need a swimming pool, club house/ entertaainment, games room, close to beach, idealy we would just love to park up the car onsite and walk to local shops/beach...... reasonably priced £350 max for 2 weeks in August, just can't find anything.

How about Searles at Hunstanton, located right at the end of the beach, club house, entertainment, swimming pool etc.

Might be worth trying Freshwater Bay at Bridport. My teenagers loved it there. They were 14 and 15 when we last went. ( and it is very Special Needs Friendly for the other post) It has a club and pool plus horseriding, small chippy and shop. It IS cheesy but lovely and very familty orientated.

I second debs398 and suggest Searles in Hunstanton.

Like she said pool/clubhouse/shop on site. Right on beach, easy walk into town or you can use the road train. We do not use our car for days whilst on this site. There is also abus service should you fancy a change, and you can buy family day tickets, not too expensive either. Also Tescos is right outside the camp.

Not sure about the prices as it's not the cheapest site around, but given what you require ( beach club and pool) you're going to pay a premium price.

Thanks for the sugestions, were looking at Cornwall, and the only place up til now within the price is St Ive;s Bay, we would like St Austell.
