please has anyone been to a touring site near manchester as we have tickets to see a show at the appollo and rather than pay to go in hotel would rather go in the caravan if possible

I think the nearest you'd get to a site in Manchester is the CC site just on the outskirts of Bury. I haven't personally stayed as it's too close to home for me - only 15 minutes away - but I've walked my dogs round the country park and also visited other UKCS members staying there and it's a lovely site. Handy for Bury itself and not too far from the motorway into Manchester
