Hi all, just booked a weeks holiday at Northam Farm,Brean in August and was wondering if any of you guys have any recommendations of what to do/eating out in the area.
We are a family of four with two kids(3 and 8).Have never been to Somerset so all recommendations will be much appreciated.
Thanks

id take a trip into wsm,
breans leisure park will entertain them for a few hours,
cheddar has a great carboot on sundays, and lots of people like the caves,
longleats about an hour and alittle expensive
the onsite chippy is abit tight with portions, and all the chippys are abit over priced, but thats the seaside for you.

oh if you can go the no dog field it is the best one, as there seems to be a lot of should i say bad dog owners on the dog field, when we go. take care on the speed bumps if your car sits low, as we've clipped the jockey wheel before, but the site lovely

Warren farm, which is the next site up, has a lovely chinese/chip shop. Really nice food and good portions. The beachcomber and brean down pubs up there do food as well. Weston super mare is a short drive away an is worth a day out as is wooky hole.
We go to warren farm all the time, spent a week there and never get bored.
Have a lovely time!!

Thanks for the info guys looks like we'll be going to Brean Leisure Park and Weston Super Mare but Longleat looks a bit to expensive for us are there any other Animal Parks/Zoos around as my little boy loves these kind of places?
And we have booked a no dog pitch thanks.

Animal Farm http://www.animal-farm.co.uk/ at Burnham is a good kids attraction.

Also the new Pier at Weston is good fun and some of the machines are only.2p ones.

Longleat is expensive but you can order day passes with tesco club card vouchers, you can also do this with wrist bands for the leisure park. The seagull is great for food and entertainment.

There is plenty to do in Brean and surrounding areas...

For food, I would try KRACKERS, there sunday carvery is amazing and great prices as well, there is a range of meals they do and is fantastic quality and value!

The Market on a Monday and Carboot on a Sunday on the Brean Leisure park site is a big one and also the beach is great in Brean if its nice!

I thought you packed the Toilet Rolls...!

Bristol Zoo is well worth a visit as is the docks area in Bristol. A very good free entry is the recently opened Museum of Bristol on the docks. Lots of things for kids to play with etc etc.

Noahs ark animal park at Wraxall near Nailsea is great for kids as well although it is closed on Sundays.

As regards eating plenty of pubs etc in the area arouind and in Burnham including Hungry horses, Weatherspoons etc.
