Alot of sites state no commercial vehicles, however if in any doubt I would speak to the warden direct and get them to clarrify how you stand so to speak.
There were loads of transit type vans on the site we used at the weekend - at least 4 of the caravanners had them. And when we were at Shamba in the New Forest last year, you could have them, but once you were unloaded you had to park them in the car park rather than next to your unit which I thought was a good idea, especially where space is limited, I'm not sure I'd want to be pitched right next to a big van!

I don't have transport at the moment...So I hire vans for my longer w/ends away....Which usually have the hirers name on the sides..
Knowing of some sites aversion to vans on their fields I always mention I have a hire van when booking..Never had a problem getting booked where I want to go...Though one site did ask me to assure them the van would not be used for commercial purposes while on site..
I would mention you have a van when booking and be straight about it from the start...

I've never owned a car so I've all ways used what is available to me . So to take camping gear mountain bike etc I used my sign written van crew cab tipper landrover . Never ever had an issue . Our landrover is a converted commercial type .
I suppose the only issue you could get is if your vans bigger than your tent and blocks a view
I hoped that it wouldn't be a problem and I don't ever want to interfere with other campers enjoyment.
Parking in a car park or having to walk back to our pitch well away from base is not a problem for me/us, just as long as we can get all our gear on site!
Happy camping to you all!

hi there im a builder with my hi top ldv van , its sign written . we go to my local campsite had no problem at all , all they ask is unload your gear then park the van out of the way in a car park i allways tell them when i book saves any confusion when arriving hope this helps----
We have a Citroen dispatch van and use it for our camping trips. We do mention when booking that we are bringing a van and one or two sites have asked us to remove our magnetic signs. Generally there is not a problem but always best to mention when booking. Love having a van for camping - everything fits in great !!
