Think of the steak on a BBQ, glass of wine in hand.

The fact that you can leave booking til the day before and follow the weather! Getting a map and sticking a pin in it to decide where you are going to next....The chance to see a different part of the UK everyday if you wish to....Waking up in a place that is not your home....first cuppa watching the sun rise over a beautiful setting. Meeting and greeting a whole host of people who, if you believe my children, are new friends in waiting! (I love that outlook)
There are so many good things to look for that the weather sometimes makes you forget them.....think back to why you started, what you hoped to achieve and then see how far you've come.... think back to your trips and what made them good for you.
Are you feeling a little motivated yet....I've just read what I've written and feel a bit of a plonk really but hey-ho it works for me

Castleton in January......Gales rocked the van on an evening for a couple of nights....the rain rattling on the van roof kept us awake.......Bottle of Old Peculiar watching the tele with the fire on and no need for a jumper it was so warm........Wind howling down Wynatts Pass and them up and around the Great Ridge sounding like a train rushing through so had to turn the tele up to hear it.........pass me an Old Peculiar whilst you're there love.......Then there was the snow.......waking up in the morning looking out of the van to see the grandfatherly arm of the great ridge topped in snow wrapping itself around us.....sun rising over Stanage at the far eastern end of the Hope Valley filling the lounge with a glow.........Greater Spotted Woodpecker and Nuthatch on the nearby bird feeders...........Oh and a Willow Tit .....cheery "Good Mornings" from fellow 'vanners as I wandered to the toilet block....
Walking down into Hope to the deli and then up past the Quarry and through the wooded hillside returning into the Market Place at Castleton in glorious sunshine whilst the snows melted away............just so good we booked an extra few days.
Wind rain gales snow sun all part of the experience.......enjoy
Phil

And then suddenly you awoke to the dawn chorus of the alarm clock sitting on the bedside cabinet sounding like a Woodpecker hammering out of tune, and then to find that it was just yet another one of the 'Old Peculiar' dreams. With a mouth so dry and as rough as sand, waiting for the arrival of a lovely cup of tea from the dear little wife. "You've been talking in your sleep again Phil......It's not the first time you've mentioned the name Gale"!

Just make the best of whatever comes.I have been caravanning 40 years. One of the holidays i will always remember is building a 6 ft snowman outside caravan Easter 38 years ago, to a holiday in Cornwall 2 weeks of absolute sunshine with daughter and son-in-law, while his parents were in Spain phoning each day saying what crap weather they were having.

We just love to get away from our everyday routine, to have time to do whatever we want (often that is very little!) and to enjoy our surroundings, whatever the weather! When we had children with us it was a chance to do things as a family, from playing board games / rounders etc to meals and conversations (some very memorable ones!) round the table. (Sounds like the advert for a well known gravy mix - sorry!)
