Hello,

Can anybody please recommend a nice site in the Peak District for a few days in June ? We were planning to go to C&CC Ashbourne site, but it's booked up. We're therefore looking for an alternative. We're not bothered about playgrounds etc, just EHU and clean facilities.

Thanks

I've stayed at Knotlow Farm near Buxton before. EHU and fires are allowed. The facilities are in portacabins but fairly reasonable as far as I remember.

Callow top in Ashbourne. There's a little known secret that they have just one electric pitch for tents - field 5 pitch 79. You might be lucky.

It does get busy with kids so wouldn't call it peacefull but it's a great location - just 20mins walk to Ashbourne.

Another site near Ashbourne is Peak Gateway - decent site, again busy with kids.

One of my favourites is Laneside near Castleton. Lovely little site and Castleton is a beautiful little village.

Another vote for Beech Croft Farm. The campsite is great, the owners friendly and the facilities are amazing.
